Raksha Bandhan 2016 - Rakhi SMS, Wallpapers, Wishes

2016 Raksha Bandhan is on August 18. Let’s celebrate Raksha Bandhan (Rakhi) by sending Rakhi SMS, Wishes, Quotes and greetings to our dear ones. Here nice collection of Rakshi sms for brothers and sisters.

Everyone knows Raksha Bandhan is also called Rakhi Purnima or simply Rakhi or "Rakhri", in many parts of India. The festival celebrates the love and duty between brothers and sisters.

On Raksha Bandhan, sisters tie a rakhi (sacred thread) on her brother's wrist. This symbolizes the sister's love and prayers for her brother's well-being, and the brother's lifelong vow to protect her.

Raksha Bandhan prayer

May the lord of all beings protect you,
May the one who creates, preserves and dissolves life protect thee,

May Govinda guard thy head; Kesava, thy neck; Vishnu, thy belly;
the eternal Narayana, thy face, thine arms, thy mind, and faculties of sense;

May all negativity and fears, spirits malignant and unfriendly, flee thee;
May Rishikesa keep you safe in the sky; and Mahidhara, upon earth.

Wishing you all a very Happy Raksha Bandhan to you and your family.

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 4G now cost Rs. 7,999 instead of Rs. 9,999

Xiaomi's Redmi Note 4G just got its price slashed to Rs. 7,999.

The mid-range,h 5.5-inch smartphone will now cost Rs. 7,999 just became  cheaper by Rs. 2,000

The Redmi Note 4G was launched in November last year and has been one of Xiaomi's runaway successes in the country. Exact figures are unavailable, but it is estimated that the company sold tens of thousands of handsets in just a few weeks in flash sales on Flipkart.

Why is Xiaomi discounting a product that was already priced dirt-cheap to begin with? One word: competition. The last few months have seen at least a dozen new smartphones entering the crowded Indian market. These handsets are typically budget handsets, usually offering mid to high-end hardware at prices that are usually under Rs. 10,000. The recently launched K3 Note from Lenovo, for instance, is priced at Rs. 9,999 and has much better tech specs than the Redmi Note 4G.

If you're in the market for a phablet -- you know, those gigantic phones that everyone seems to carry these days -- the Redmi Note 4G is now one of the cheapest options.

Xiaomi Cuts Mi 4 Smartphone Price In India, now available at Rs 14999

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi slashed price of the Mi 4 16 GB model by 16 per cent to Rs 14,999. "We are announcing price cut of Mi 4 16 GB model to Rs 14,999. It is effective from 9 pm (June 17) on Flipkart and mi.com and soon available across our other channel partners," Xiaomi global Vice President Hugo Barra said at an event. The company was celebrating sale of one crore Mi 4 smartphones.

While the company is advertising a price cut of Rs 5,000 on the Mi 4 (16 GB), the actual discount is of Rs 3,000. Modi is like a ‘brother’, says Abbott

Narendra and I.” Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott said this at a joint press conference with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi after summit talks, while stressing how the two countries were expanding their cooperation in various areas.

The personal warmth Abbott shared with Modi was reflected yet again at a reception at the iconic 161-year-old Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) where he said Modi is like a “brother.”

“Narendra and I,” said Abbott on couple of occasions while referring to the determination of the two leaders to work together to help strengthening of relations.

Abbott had urged world leaders to speak from the heart rather than a script at the summit of the Group of 20 industrialised and major emerging economies at Brisbane.

“If we could use first names, that would be good as well because, whatever disagreements we might have, it helps if there can at least be personal warmth amongst us,” he said.

When Modi, the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Australia in 28 years after Rajiv Gandhi in 1986, made his entry at the G20 Summit venue, he gave Abbott a hearty hug.

Before Modi began his address to lawmakers on Tuesday, Abbott said he was determined to correct the situation where no Indian Prime Minister had addressed the Australian parliament.

He said leaders of several countries have addressed the Parliament but no Indian leader has done it.

“I am personally delighted that this has been been corrected,” Abbott said.

The two leaders had several meetings — both formally and informally — during the East Asia Summit and at the G20 Summit.

“My memorable visit to Australia ends today. A new relationship has begun,” Modi said while speaking at the MCG.
